Look forward to reviewing the full version. Game seems to have its own identity and will likely have a bright future. Other than that not much to add that others have not. It is, perhaps, something that could be toggled? Maybe an option for an easier difficulty level. I imagine that showing the consequences of each dialogue option may detract from the devs intentions. Also a tinge of lovecraft thrown in for good measure, could be the overwhelming despair again though, as I did not see any tentacles. Not just the despair, but it feels very SteamPunk, likely due to the time period in which it is set. Liked: The previously mentioned, somber tone. I was unable to transfer a sick crew member to the open slot for the doctor to heal. I think part of the dialogue disappearing, also to the top left, may be connected. The portrait of one of the crew appeared at top left of screen, hiding other icons. I didn't experience much, I had only a couple of gripes. I eagerly await the finalized version of the game and it seems like the devs are already responding to posts surrounding the inevitable glitches and bugs. All of these are important factors to progress. Finding resources, healing a sick crew member or even having a conversation help toward positive morale. It also gives added weight to the little victories in the game. Somehow, the feeling of utter despair urges you think carefully about every decision that you make. The game has a somber tone, that permeates every aspect of the game. Even the way in which you manage resources is very different than FP. That is pretty much where the similarities end though. AirDrop makes it easier to share and connect with those around you and adds NameDrop for contact sharing. StandBy delivers a new full-screen experience with glanceable information designed to view from a distance when you turn iPhone on its side while charging. This was also true in FP, though to a much lesser degree. iOS 17 brings big updates to Phone, Messages, and FaceTime that give you new ways to express yourself as you communicate. The decisions that you make dictate the course that your story takes. Then there is the management of your team/crew. Managing what your crew gathers and how you ration it are an integral part of the game. Resource management is the real common denominator here. The gameplay, while different, does pose a passing resemblance. In fact, the cold is as constant a factor in this game as it is with Frost Punk. The truth is that those similarities are less with the gameplay and more to with the setting.
